Hi All,
Finally I have started my own blog as part of my new year resolution for 2015 and this is the first time that I am writing one.
2014 Review
Taking a reference to my friend's new year resolution post in instagram earlier this year <2014, it has been a year full of decisions; to hold on or to let go, to accept or reject, to leave or to stay, to give or to take, to love or to hate.>, it kind of sum up my year in 2014.
1) Work and Studies
To me, the year 2014 is the year of changes where I had seen many changes throughout the year with many decisions made for either myself and those around me. 2014 for me, is also a busy year as I had to juggle between my busy work schedule (from Jan 14 to Sep 14, chased by everyone internal and external every single day without a time to catch my breath) and my part time studies which is quite challenging as time is really not enough for me to take a rest throughout the entire period like a candle burning on both ends.
Things got slightly better in end Sep 14, when my project came to a near ending point, so I can plan my works slightly easier without being chased by everyone unlike earlier. (I have to reject several outings etc. as I would had to settle disturbing issues from Jan to Sep on most days). As a result of juggling between work and part time studies, I had really tired out myself and suffered from lack of sleep for the past 3 years that had plummeted my health that I feel sleepy usually these days.
Luckily, for my part time studies, I managed to pass my previous semester which only left me with 2 subjects for this semester.
Hopefully, I can end my part time studies soon and take a break from juggling between work and studies as it prove disastrous to my health as I had stressed out both physically and mentally. In regards to work, hopefully to progress well in my professional development after my studies with better opportunities and future.
2) Relationships
Many things had happened this year, I wish for a better inner peace, hope and miracle to happen. I would also to take this opportunity to thanks my friends (Richard, Royston and Nicholas) who accompanied me to singing session to lighten my pain.
2014 is also a year where I get to know more friends and find many new friends in common interest - food and watches in instagram and Facebook, and also many who had encouraged me to go forward to my dream. 2014 also marks the lost of my pillar of support for the past 2 years on early Jul 14.
Sad to say that things are kind of predictable and calculable for me as I usually foreseen the possible end results for relations and work, just like dreams are just merely a dream, full of disappointments. And unlike working, studying and my interests which I can achieve by working hard, there are things that could not be reached no matter how hard I tried.
Hopefully, 2015 would be a better year for me with lesser disappointment.
3) Singapore Watch Industry - Rolex Owners Club Asia
For 2014, also marks one of the greatest change in Singapore Watch industry as SGROC was split into halve and the new Rolex Owners Club Asia (ROC Asia) was formed where we had introduced a different perspective and new ways to engage the Singapore watch collectors in providing a Discussion Group and Trading group on Facebook where we can share technical advices and trading on watches on real time basis.
From a SGROC forum long time member to one of the Admins in ROC Asia assisting my good friend, it is really a different feeling as I get to know more people and engage in activities more often.
With ROC Asia as one of the leading Watch group in Singapore, I hope to see greater heights and development in the group in 2015.
As an individual, I am working on the updated Rolex Watch Box reference table as well as other information and my professional development of watch knowledge towards watch collector level and watch idiot savant.
My 2015 New Year Resolution
1) Start a blog to share my views, feelings, food and watches. - this blog :)
2) Rest more to recuperate my health due to long term lack of sleep - sleep more and earlier, perhaps take a one month break from work and studies to nurse my health.
3) Engage and take part in more activities for watch related events, hopefully.
4) Get a Girl Friend
5) Do well for my exams and get my degree
6) No more buying of watches (I think I will continue to buy my spare parts like dials, hehe.)
7) Exercise more for healthier lifestyle.
8) Spend more time with my parents.
9) Professional development in my Career after studies conclude.
10) Professional development in my Watch knowledge - Rolex
11) Eat more good food :)
Hope everyone would have a good 2015 and look forward to my blog postings.
Thanks and Regards,
